School Essay on 'My Ideal'

First step towards success is having dreams.

Second step towards success is inspiration.

Third step towards success is hard-work, dedication and sincerity.

Fourth step is confidence in yourself and do the best you can.

Fifth step is to wait patiently for a wonderful result.

I have taken the first step to a wonderful result. My happiness, dreams and goal lies on being an author. Just writing pages and pages of beautiful stories and words to make people happy and enrich their lives, is my dream.

I have heard about many authors but the writer whom I awe is the celebrated author of the Harry Potter series. Yes, you have got it right, its J. K. Rowling. She had entertained millions of people by her remarkable works. Do you know her real name? It’s Joanne Rowling. She put ‘K’ for Kathleen when her first novel was published. Her publishers asked that she use two initials, rather than her full name fearing that the young boys might not want to read a book written by a woman. Breaking this stereotype against female authors, in 2004 Forbes named her as the first author to become a billionaire. She is inspiration to all budding female authors.

She is a strong woman. Her character wall is made of unbreakable bricks. She had struggled a lot before her success as author. She overcame poverty, personal failures, depression, to write her ‘rags to riches’ story. Her persistence even after multiple rejections for her first book is lesson in perseverance. She went from welfare benefits to billionaire status, supporting many charities. Her life is inspiration to persons experiencing setbacks in life in any field and not just in writings.

Success is iron and she has transformed herself into a magnet.

She is the perfect person who I hold as my ideal. I am taking the second step towards success by having inspiration from her.

  5. IF and IF you have written this piece, you should be brilliant."Her character wall is made of unbreakable bricks" is a nice sentence. It is great that you want to be an author and judging by your content at this young age, if you persist, you surely will realize your dream. Given the fact that you are Dr Dewanda's daughter, I am assuming you must be reading a lot. In my opinion, perusing biographies of relevant people might do you plenty good.
